ABOUT EARLY EdVENTURE

Fostering fun and creation

Each lesson is a mix of play-based and explicit teaching and themed to keep children excited, engaged and challenged. In every lesson students will work on skills including, but not limited to numeracy, literacy, social/emotional, fine and gross motor. These skills will be developed in relation to the theme of the week and ensure students have variety and fun in their learning.

Our terms run in conjunction with the 4 school terms and we use the School Curriculum and Standards Authority to influence our curriculum. Throughout the year, we aim to introduce children to the foundational concepts of the Kindergarten Curriculum Guidelines so they go into school with confidence and excitement.

OUR CLASSES

Keep it close, keep it clever

Our classes are currently kept to a maximum of 6 students per class and are 2 hours long. This is to ensure that each child receives adequate attention and time as well as reducing anxiety and overwhelm.

In smaller classes students can be eased into a classroom environment and build their confidence in social situations.

Reducing the anxiety often associated with a large class, leaves more room to focus on the learning.

Early EdVenture aims to provide children with the foundational (and beyond) knowledge to succeed when starting school, however a strong focus is placed on social skills, self-regulation and the simple aspects of school that often trip children up (think cutting, pasting, opening lunchboxes and more).

We incorporate yoga, games, music and fun into our lessons to provide a holistic approach to learning.
